Location: Liebelt Road, Echunga, Adelaide Hills.
Rathmine Estate is considered to be one of the Adelaide Hills top vineyards for modern, cool climate Chardonnay. Fruit sourced from this vineyard is in very high demand for both sparkling and still wines.

HARVEST: 5th of March 2018

WINE ANALYSIS: Alc/Vol: 12.9%, Acidity: 6.5 g/l, pH: 3.20

WINEMAKING: Hand-picked in the early hours of a cool morning. Whole bunch pressed, wild yeast fermented at cool temperature on full solids in seasoned 2-3-year-old French Barriques. Matured for 7 months with frequent lees stirring before bottling. Contains minimal sulphites.

NOSE: White stone fruits leap out of the glass and are carried by subtle exotic aromas of frangipani and hints of spicy mace.

TASTE: The seasoned French oak provides the segway from nose to palate with the aromatic suggestion of fresh crème Brule leading to a racy palate softened by custardy cream, the wines natural acidity all the while playing the youthful jester and maintaining vibrancy and life. The palate is long and finely balanced.
