HARVEST: 3rd to 22nd of March 2016

WINEMAKING: Crushed then cold soaked for 3-5 days. Around 5% whole bunch, wild carbonic maceration, 14 to 21 days on skins in headed down open fermenters. Pressed to seasoned French Barriques for maturation for seven months prior to bottling. Contains minimal sulphites.

NOSE: A fragrant array of vibrant fruit and lively spice. The aromatic lift from the Bush Vine Grenache at Blewitt Springs is intoxicating on the nose and is balanced by spicy cool climate Shiraz from Clarendon and Macclesfield. There is a heady rush of ripe red berries, brooding black fruits, olive tapenade, and subtle hints of sticky cured tobacco leaf all jarring for attention on the nose.

TASTE: It is a sleek, contemporary wine delivering a balance of mid-palate fruit, texture and tannin. The finish is long and precise, with some savoury edges from partial whole bunch fermentation in perfect balance with those initial heady aromatics.

PEAK DRINKING: Now until 2029
